Tartan Design Centre
The first thing we always suggest is to review READ ME FIRST page. This will help to give you a better understanding on how to use the Design Centre online. It will also help you to understand what items are included with your new Tartan Home.
No, you do not have to print it. Your DC Coordinator will have access to your list and will review it with you at your appointment.
You may add or remove any of the items on your wish list at any time. To remove an item, go to the Wish List page and click the X on the right side. Your list and running total will be updated automatically.
Your Wish List sorts your items by area so you can use that list to track but there are also some worksheets that you can download, fill in, save and print, if desired. Your DC Coordinator will also ensure that you have selected all the items that are necessary to complete your home when you meet at your next appointment. It is up to you to make sure you review and select any additional upgrades you want.
We provide you with these documents to help keep track of the options selected, you don’t have to use them but it is quite helpful as it outlines what options you will be required to select at the Design Centre.
The images online are a visual guide to help you with your online navigation. In several cases, the image will not match your option selection exactly. Errors and omissions may occur. In addition, the overview image meant to represent the kind of area the options pertain to will not always accurately portray the level of upgrade that the option is referring to. For example, the overview image for choosing tile in a bathroom may show a higher level tile than the option. While we endeavor to represent these accurately not all tile levels have visual representations in a bathroom. If you have any questions regarding an image ask your Design Centre Coordinator for help.
The answer is no, but it is beneficial for you to have some options added. If you do decide to go through the Design Centre online prior to your first meeting it will make it easier on you as a homeowner as your coordinator will be able to assist you with any questions related to those specific items, or any other questions that may follow.
We ask that you write down all questions that you may have and bring them to your first Design Centre meeting. We have included a “comment” section for all Design Centre online options you can fill out any questions in this section.
Yes and no, if you add to your DC online after your first appointment you must let your coordinator know as we only print/review your list at your first Design Centre meeting. It is encouraged that you email your coordinator instead of adding to your Design Centre online wish list after your first appointment has happened.
It could be in the process of being phased out, discontinued or on backorder. Please speak with your Design Centre coordinator with any questions.
Any options found online that indicate that they must be RFP’d (priced out) will be priced by your pricing coordinator at your first Design Centre appointment. Please add any options you are considering to your wish list and your Coordinator will review them with you during your first appointment.
All options shown on the Design Centre online are subject to errors and omissions. Please speak with your Design Centre coordinator with any questions.
If there is an inclusion that you see online that is not in your book (printed books are being phased out), speak to your DC Coordinator. While the site should be correct there are hundreds of details in your home. Check the specification document in your agreement to be sure the item is supposed to be in your home.
Vice Versa, if there is something in your book that is not online, the item may have been discontinued or is simply not available in your home any longer for a variety of possible reasons.
When a pre-priced option is modified the RFP cost calculated is based on current contract pricing combined with the terms of the trades and inflation of materials involved in making this change.
Please note that Tartan does its best to have a significant amount of pre-priced items guaranteed for our purchasers to ensure reliable and reasonable pricing where possible.
Generally, your catalogue and DC online prices should match. However, your catalogue pricing takes precedence over pricing differences online. Pricing changes (if necessary) will only be updated on a quarterly basis. Printed books are being phased out. #SavetheTrees
